I decided to write today so I could tell you about the beautiful snowflake patterns that Joanne of Canuck Quilter offered this past fall as part of her Snowalong. Beautiful "paper-pieced" snowflake patterns. I am a lover of paper piecing, and jumped at the chance to make some snowflakes. Without further ado, here are my snowflakes.
Table runner number one
Table runner number two
This one is a Christmas gift.
I know, the photos are not the best. Since I no longer blog, I have not bothered much with taking pictures. The instructions were easy to follow and the pattern pieces fit together so very nicely.
Table runner number three.
Geese Across the Table
This is another pattern from the very talented Canuck Quilter. I made this runner for my mom's September birthday. It is a little wider and a little shorter than the original pattern. Mom loved it.
My computer skills are very rusty. If I don't mess up in the next minute or two, this might actually become a real blog post. Fingers crossed!
Merry Christmas everyone.
Sandy
Your snowflakes are beautiful! I know Joanne will be proud of your work. Makes me wish I had tried them. Your geese runner is very pretty too! I'm so glad you are back to blogging with us. I've got to get myself back in place too, and hopefully I will in the next week or two. Merry Christmas to you! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Sandy! I love what you did with the snowflakes and Geese Across the Table. Thank you so much for sharing pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you sat down and dusted off your computer skills. That first table-runner is by far my favorite, though all three are so pretty. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will continue to share your quilting projects with us in 2015!
ReplyDeleteI like the two snowflake table runners and the geese across the table but the first table runner is my favorite! You did a great job with all three. I saved the snowflake patterns, but I have not yet tried paper piecing, I want to someday and the snowflakes are so pretty. It is good to hear from you again. Hope to see more of your beautiful work in the future. Happy New Year!
